I booked an appointment same day online and even though they were absolutely slammed SAM da MAN was able to get her car into the queue and even stayed an hour late to make sure that we could get in, make payment and pick her car up. Over heating and smoking. BEWARE!!! STAY AWAY!!! Terrible experience with Pep Boys newberry road Gainesville FL. I was charged for 100$ for them to tell me there was no issue and they didn’t see anything wrong. Kept my car for 5 days and got nothing done. For those days they had my car there was NEVER ANY communication or them keeping me posted about anything. After me calling everyday they told me they hadn’t even gotten my car in a bay yet. By the 4th day they were telling me and my girlfriend there was no issue and the technician hadn’t found anything and he’ll try again tomorrow. On the 5th day I just appeared and they got to work immediately. Literally just had my car sitting while they did nothing. Had me go put gas in my car mid service, when I got back he drove it for 3 mins and said it MIGHT be the the valve cover gasket leaking (which I had changed 2 weeks prior). Basically lied about a diagnosis so they could charge ne for it. After asking tech did he actually know he said he’d have to charge me more to look in the valve cover and put it back. Had been a customer with this shop for about 6 years. They never have enough people to work on anything. Will never use them agai

I am super grateful for this Pep Boys! We were traveling home from FL to OK & had a flat tire. They were able to get us in & find a tire the right size (which was difficult) to get us back on the road that night. They even stayed later to make sure it was fixed so we didn’t have to stay overnight! A HUGE thank you to your team!!

Got my tires installed faster than some oil changes! Thank you! And all the team was nice and attentive. I told them that Pep Boys is my favorite place to buy tires. Always good deals and service.

Caught a flat tire while driving on Father’s Day , but it was literally outside Pep-boys and I thought oh that’s convenient. I’ll get it fixed here. I am in the automotive business and have the capability to patch this myself in a shop but because I was on the road I needed an alternate shop. Boy oh boy what I mistake. They checked me in and I waited only 30minutes and after looking at the tire their advisor told me that because my tread depth was below 5/32 they couldn’t patch it due to company policy. This is where it gets sketchy. Although that may be their policy , it’s only in place to sell you more tires. Brand new tires in any brand can have different tread depths. Some tires only start with 7/32 some more at 10/32 so this policy is deliberate and arbitrary . The location of the hole was safe to patch. The tread depth was the only reason why they refused. I insisted on the advisor, calling his manager, and he did in fact call him. The call was on speaker and when the advisor told him the story, I could clearly hear the manager state “just go ahead and do it”. Clear as day, the manager gave him authorization to repair the tire. After he hung up the phone, he went back into th
